Mrs Tiggywinkles Dolls by Tiggy Goldsmith

Hi I'm Tiggy of Mrs Tiggywinkle's Dolls

I make 12th scale porcelain dolls in historical costume.  My dolls are

made with porcelain heads, hands and feet which are cast from

commercially available molds.

With a 25 year background in making historical costumes (full sized) for

re-enactors and museums, and a life long love of dolls houses, in 2004 I

started selling my porcelain dolls in historical costumes, thus

combining my two loves.

I sell mainly on-line through my shop on Etsy (and occasionally Ebay).

From January 2011 I am now in a position to consider commissions for

dressed dolls  in historical costumes.  I have a wide experience of

working in both full sized historical costumes for museums and

re-enactors  and 12th scale costumes for my little people,  and a good

selection of reference books,  I am happy to advise those to whom

'getting it right' is important. Although I will consider most requests

I think I am best at periods in the 1066-1900 range.

Prices start at

$100 per doll,  for the simpler servant outfits and increase according

to the complexity of the outfit required.

My doll dressing courses which I run from my home studio are currently

suspended as family happenings have made it difficult for me to commit

my self to events far in advance.

In Autumn 2009 I was proud to be awarded Artisan status by the IGMA,

and hope in the future to form greater links with this prestigious

organisation.
