Sorceress’ Hollow...

Hello, my name is Celia…I am an artist and sculptor living in North Wales.

I am also addicted to anything small…always have been…the smaller the better.

My husband though is well over six feet tall…so something went wrong somewhere...but he loves teeny-tiny things too…so I forgive his short-comings!

I create figures, artwork, and accessories, mainly of a fantasy nature…although they have become so real to me that I have created a “Village” for them all to inhabit.

This gives me the excuse of writing a “life-story” for the creations that escape from my clay.

To non-miniaturists…I know that would sound a little strange…to those gifted with the miniature bug…I know that you will understand!

I made little people when I was a child…from pipe-cleaners and ping-pong balls…the usual dolls house playthings, and of course match box furniture and peg dolls…I don’t think that this small world has ever left my side.

They have now taken over my “real” house…luckily, my children have been brain-washed into loving small things too…so nobody minds having to share their home with various projects on the go…(that’s not really true, but I’m pretending they don’t mind sharing the kitchen table, because I feel guilty, having spread cogs, fabric, very small glassware and assorted interesting bits and bobs, where their dinner should be!)

I have even been accused of treating my “dolls” to better food than my family…just because I make them delicious cakes!

I also enjoy making strange steam-punk miniatures…I have no idea what they are…but they are great fun to make…and as they are fantasy creations…it doesn’t really matter what they are!

I hope that from those early ping-pong ball and peg dolls, I have improved a little as I have “grown up”.

To me, my figures are all characters with real personalities…I would love to hear what you think of them.
