History Of Nikki Nakki Nu
After leaving school I studied an art and design course at Lincoln De Monfort University for 2 years and from here I took up a degree course at Leicester University studying ceramics and glass.
After my second year at university I decided to specialise in slip-cast ceramics. By this time I was fascinated by miniatures and how I could use my skills to create ceramics on such a small scale.
When I graduated from Leicester University in 2004 my mind was made up that I wanted to join my mum in the doll’s house miniatures scene. So I decided that I wanted to set up my own business in doll’s house miniatures.
It has taken a lot of hard work and effort to get here today. As I have had to adapt and create new ways of slip-casting to make it possible to make ceramics this small.
My aim is to produce miniatures that look the part in your dolls house. I am very much into the history of ceramics and take particular care in to looking at shapes, sizes and colour of the originals from these periods.
